Denver skatepark is open from 5:00 am until 11:00 pm daily.  It's located at 2205 19th Street, between Platte Street and Little Raven, Denver, CO.  To get there, once in downtown, take 20th or 15th towards Lo Do, and turn on Little Raven.  Note, "Lipan Street" no longer exists, despite what the maps say.

January 7, 2007 - A couple of things happened in Denver this past year that I neglected to mention below (Actually, I intentionally omitted these things, but people continue to remind me).  First, the X-Games indoor skatepark in the Colorado Mills mall reopened in 2006 as a Woodward park.  Second, the Louisville bowl was "repaired," and the reports are that the flow is better.

May 19, 2006 - A part of the local natural terrain is being torn down.

September 23, 2005 - Since I started this site in 2001, I've resisted the temptation to post any sort of "links" page.  Against my better judgment, I've now posted a "resources" page.

September 14, 2005 - Another private indoor skatepark in the Denver area bites the dust.  The ESPN X-Games Skatepark at the Colorado Mills mall in Lakewood went dark this week.

September 2, 2005 - Edwards skatepark had its grand opening.  The bowl is fun, but the street section was not that great.  On the way there, I hit Silverthorne, which is always fun.

July 9, 2005 - Last week I took a road trip, and got to skate a few places along the way.  Laramie, Wyoming, was fun.  Edora was overrun with bikes.  I bruised my shins up at the Fossil Creek skate plaza in Ft. Collins, CO.  And I found an empty modular skatepark in Saratoga, Wyoming.

June 17, 2005 - Denver is going to put up some modular skate stuff at the Johnson Rec. Center near Elyria Park (4809 Race Street).  Thanks, but modular?  I'll report back, perhaps, when it's done.  Also, Steamboat Springs is adding a 24-foot-wide mini ramp with a 12-foot spine to its current skatepark, and hopes to add a concrete park next summer.
