Best wheels for Denver Park? - 2008/08/21 19:34
Hello All,
So just to introduce myself, my name is John and I've been skating since '85. My wife and I moved to Denver about 4 years ago from hot, humid Orlando, FL. Since then I've been riding as many of the area parks as I can find time to, but unfortunately, I'm usually at the parks in the morning times and haven't had the opportunity to meet many fellow skaters.
I live just a few minutes from the Denver Park and would love to skate there more often, but everytime I ride there, I end up on my ass because it's so damn slippery. Does anyone have any insight on how to get around this? I suspect softer wheels may help, but does anyone have any recommendations?
I currently ride Powell Bowl Riders (the hard ones) and they're great at all the other parks. I was looking into some Powell Mini-Logo 58mm 97a's. Does anyone have any experience with these at Denver?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond and thanks for giving us old dudes a place to connect.
Ride On,
John
